How to integrate widgets with Kit

If you use Kit for email marketing and Getsitecontrol forms to collect email addresses on your website, you can connect the two apps to eliminate the need for manual data exports and imports.

You’ll simply need to log in to your Kit account and select the necessary list. Getsitecontrol will send all newly collected contacts to the selected list.

Follow the steps below to set up your integration with Kit.

1. Find the Integrations tab

Open the form you want to connect to Kit. From the top bar of the widget editor, switch to the Integrations tab.

2. Connect your Getsitecontrol account to Kit

Under ‘Third party integrations’, click the +Add application link and choose Kit from the drop-down list.

Next, enter your Kit API key.

Integration settings with the API key field

To find the API key, log in to your Kit account and open the menu in the top right corner. Select ‘Settings’ and switch to the ‘Developer’ section. Copy your API key:

Now your accounts are connected.

3. Choose the list

At this point, you’ll have to choose a list to connect to your form. In this case, a list would be a Kit form or landing page. Please note that you need to create the form or landing page before setting up the Kit integration.

From the dropdown list, select the form or page where you'd like to export the collected email addresses.

4. Map the form fields

Next, match the Getsitecontrol form fields to the fields in the selected Kit form or page.

Click the Map fields button and hit the {var} icon next to a source field. In the variable menu, select the relevant form field:

📌 To learn more about field mapping for third-party integrations, watch this video or read this guide.

When you are done mapping the fields, click Save and then proceed to Save & close the form.

That’s it. Now all new contacts will be automatically sent to the Kit form or landing page that you have specified. You will find them in the form/page’s statistics and in your Kit subscribers list.

You can connect your form to more than one third-party application. Click the + Add application link to add another integration for the current form.
