How to integrate widgets with MailerLite
If you use MailerLite for email marketing and Getsitecontrol widgets to collect email addresses of your website visitors, you can easily connect the two apps to avoid having to manually export and import data. Simply choose the necessary mailing group and Getsitecontrol will add every new email subscriber to this group automatically.
Find the Integrations tab
You can connect your Getsitecontrol account to MailerLite when editing your widget. Choose the Integrations tab in the top bar.
Connect your Getsitecontrol account to MailerLite
In the Third party integrations section, click the +Add application link and choose MailerLite from the drop-down list.
Enter your MailerLite API key.
How to find your API key in MailerLite Classic
To find your API key, log in to your MailerLite account, select Integrations from the drop-down menu under your user name. Click Use next to Developer API.
On the next step, copy your API key.
Go back to Getsitecontrol and paste the key into the corresponding field. Click Save.
How to find your API token in MailerLite New version
To find your API key, log in to your MailerLite account click Integrations in the sidebar.
Find API and click Use.
On the next step, click Generate new token. Enter a name for your token, for example, Getsitecontrol. Click Create token and copy it.
Go back to Getsitecontrol and paste the token into the corresponding field. Click Save.
Select a group
You will then be offered to choose one of your existing MailerLite groups. Select the one you want the collected emails to be exported to.
Map your widget fields
Make sure the fields of your widget are matched to those in the MailerLite group. Click the Map widget fields button to check that the fields are properly matched. You can read more about field mapping here.
When you are done mapping the fields, click OK. That’s it. Now all new contacts will be automatically copied to the MailerLite group you have specified.
You can connect your widget to more than one third-party application. Click the +Add application link to add another integration for the current widget.
